Fishing
Cast your line and unwind by the serene dam, where the tranquil surroundings and well-stocked waters offer the perfect setting for a relaxing fishing experience.
- Conservation Levy: R80 per person
- Gate Entry Per Person: R80 per Adult & R50 per Child under 12
- Cost of Activity: R60 per rod permit. Hire a rod for R250 per rod (Refundable deposit of R100)
- Lacation & Info: Growmore dam 6 & 7 and Fisherman's Dam. (Strictly catch and release)
Mountain Biking
Embark on an exhilarating ride through Tala’s diverse landscapes. Our mountain biking trails provide scenic views and a thrilling adventure for cycling enthusiasts of all levels.
- Conservation Levy: R80 per person
- Gate Entry Per Person: R80 per Adult & R50 per Child under 12
- Cost of Activity: Hire a bike for R450 per Bike (Refundable deposit of R100)
- Lacation & Info: Start at reception. Strictly no cycling in unmarked areas.
Game Drives
Join our guided game drives to witness the rich wildlife of Tala. Morning and afternoon excursions include stops for coffee and sundowners, making each journey an unforgettable safari experience.

- Gate Entry Per Person: R80 per Adult & R50 per Child under 12
- Cost of Activity: R340 per Adult & R195 per Child (ages: 5-12), R270 per Pensioner (Age: 60+)
- Lacation & Info: Start at reception. A 2hr game drive with a professional guide and game vehicle.
Paintball & Target Shooting
Engage in the excitement of paintball battles and refine your shooting skills with our target shooting sessions. These activities promise fun and adrenaline for groups and individuals alike.
- Conservation Levy: R80 per person
- Gate Entry Per Person: R80 per Adult & R50 per Child under 12
- Cost of Activity: R160 for 100 balls per person. R100 per additional 100 balls thereafter.
- Lacation & Info: Takes place in the Paintball Arena. Each session is 1hr long.
Archery
Discover the ancient art of archery in our dedicated range. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced archer, you’ll enjoy honing your skills in a picturesque setting.

- Lacation & Info: Takes place in the Archery/Paintball Arena. Each session is 30min long.
Segway Safaris
Glide effortlessly through the reserve on a Segway safari. This unique mode of exploration offers a fun and eco-friendly way to see the wildlife and natural beauty of Tala.

- Lacation & Info: Starts at reception. A 1hr segway trip with a professional guide including a 15min safety training session.
Guided Walks
Explore the wonders of Tala on foot with our guided walks. Led by knowledgeable rangers, these walks offer an in-depth look at the flora and fauna, enriching your connection to the natural world.

Location & Info: Embarking on guided safari walks within a wildlife conservancy is an immersive journey into the heart of nature’s wonders. Led by experienced guides who are intimately familiar with the landscape and its inhabitants, offering a unique perspective, allowing you to connect with the wilderness on a profound level.
GUIDED WALK TIMES
FRIDAY – 16:00 | SATURDAY – 08:00 & 16:00 | SUNDAY – 08:00 Alternative times and days can be arranged on request depending on the size of the group. DURATION: all walks are 1.5hrs DEPARTURE: from Leadwood or rock pools
BOOKINGS: must be made at least 24hrs in advance for a minimum of 4 people per group
TERMS & CONDITIONS All necessary indemnities must be completed before the walk commences. Children under 6 are not permitted on guided walks. Conservation fee is not included in the above rate and must be paid on entry to the reserve
Livwell Spa
Indulge in a day of pampering at the Livwell Spa. Our range of treatments and therapies are designed to relax and rejuvenate, providing the perfect complement to your outdoor adventures.

- Lacation & Info: Pamper yourself at our LivWell Spa. Available for treaments from 14:00 on Fridays until 10:00 on Mondays. Bookings are essential.
Restaurant
Our exquisitely designed rock fireplace, which is complemented by the large marble and thatch bar, adds warmth to the space. The restaurant’s two verandas provide views of the surrounding wilderness and resident animals, which frequently come to feed right outside your door Our executive chef has created a uniquely designed meal that combines a variety of Flavours in a finely balanced way. Other possibilities are Ala Carte, Sunday lunch buffet, and picnic hampers (please inquire for more details).
All meals are served at the Tala Restaurant; reservations are requested if you would like to join us for dinner. Meals and beverages must be paid for at the reception upon your departure.
Groups larger than ten guests can be accommodated for lunch or supper at any of our carefully chosen locations with advance notice, including:
